ACOS+ is a collection of advanced BASIC commands for the Commodore 64.
Many of the Commodore 64's unique features are only available using machine code or by complex PEEKing or POKEing.
ACOS+ makes these features available to anyone using simple BASIC commands, but it also includes a very advanced cassette operating system to significantly speed up cassette operation. ACOS+ sets up a directory on each tape by taking control of the datasette motor.
Other features of ACOS+ include simplified sprite movement, sprite collision detection, graphics commands (similar to those available in most versions of BASIC), interrupt driven routines, commands to use raster interrupts, a full range of sound commands and utility commands.
In total ACOS+ provides 36 extra commands and also permits the user to add further BASIC commands.
To complete the package a game called ZORN is included. This uses the ACOS+ commands to demonstrate the power and speed that can be obtained using these BASIC commands.
ACOS+ is the Utility which will make your Commodore 64 datasette as convinient as a disk drive.
